After playing several hours per day since its launch, I've compiled a list of tips and tricks that I believe will be helpful for other players.
Google Opinion Rewards
For Android users, Google Opinion Rewards periodically sends short surveys that reward you with credits to use in the Google Play store or for in-app purchases. It's an easy way to earn extra Blips & Chitz coupons with minimal effort.
Crafting Coupons
The game doesn't require purchasing coupons to progress. They reward random items and Mortys, but everything obtainable through them can be acquired via other means.
Obtaining Coupons
All instances of item rewards can give you Blips and Chitz coupons. Defeating wild Mortys, trainers, or redeeming coupons may reward additional coupons.
Morty Prime
Morty Prime, as one of the only two "typeless" Mortys, can be useful in certain situations. It's advisable to keep him in your party as he cannot be removed and can aid you when your other Mortys are unable to battle.
Battle Strategy
Identify your opponent's Morty type by the one behind them in trainer and Rick battles. Match your Morty type accordingly to gain an advantage.
Second Chances
If you make a mistake, exit and force close the app to restart before it saves. This gives you a second chance to rectify errors.
Badge Accumulation
Your accumulated badges affect various aspects of the game, including the level of wild Mortys, trainer Mortys, and the rate at which rare Mortys spawn. Purposefully dying in early dimensions can help build your team's levels.
Dimension Exit
Losing in a dimension and being returned to the healing station incurs no penalty aside from being ejected from that dimension. You can find anything you missed in another dimension.
Faster Leveling
You can farm large amounts of experience from Council fights, making it advantageous to purposefully lose and replay them for experience.
Evolution Strategy
Combining two Mortys of the same type results in the next tier Morty for that evolution chain. This is an efficient way to earn a higher-level third-tier Morty.
Save Meeseeks Boxes
Save Meeseeks boxes for Council fights, as they are the most difficult trainers you'll face.
Smart Badge Gathering
When entering a dimension, defeat the Rick first to maximize earned EXP. Then defeat other wild Mortys and trainers to gain an edge in the next, slightly harder dimension.
Egg Morty Evolution
Egg Morty evolves into The One True Morty at level 20, gaining the Ascend ability. Utilize Level Up Mega Seeds and Meeseeks boxes during Council fights to expedite leveling.
Craft Complex Materials
Craft complex materials needed for inventions to prevent capping and potentially blocking yourself from progression paths.
Explore Entirely
Explore each dimension fully before leaving to collect dimension containers and potentially encounter rare Mortys.
Collecting Mortys
Don't stress about collecting low-tier Mortys until later in the game. Each dimension is random, and you can instantly exit when looking for Mortys you haven't already caught.
Dimension Specifics
Only one rare Morty will spawn in any given dimension, making it easier to hunt for specific Mortys.
Post-Level 100 Stat Boosting
Even after reaching level 100, you can use stat mega seeds to further increase your Morty's stats.
Bug with Mascot Morty
There is a bug preventing players from capturing #80 Mascot Morty, which will be fixed in a future update.
Companion App Recommendation
Jerry's Game is recommended as a superior alternative to Pocket Mortys.
